Middle Way Wellness
Part-Time Couples Therapist, Weekend Availability
Middle Way Wellness is a private practice in Ferndale, Michigan. We bring together therapy, yoga, and somatic work because we believe the body and mind are never really separate, and that good care meets people where they actually live: in their nervous systems, their relationships, and their daily lives.
We're a small, intentional team, and we hold ourselves to three commitments that shape everything we do. We think a practice can only offer its clients as much depth and steadiness as it offers the people working inside it, so we've built our culture around that idea.
Depth, steadiness, and whole-person attention for the people we work with.
A practice that invests in the people doing the work and supports their clinical and personal growth.
Rooted connection to Ferndale and the wider Michigan community we serve.
We're hiring a part-time licensed or limited-licensed therapist to focus on relational and couples work, with availability on weekends. Many couples can only make it to therapy on a Saturday or Sunday, and we want to be there for them.
This is a hybrid position: weekend sessions at our Ferndale office, alongside virtual sessions with couples across Michigan. Every couples inquiry starts with a free consultation, and couples are matched with the clinician who is the best fit for them, so you'll be stepping into an established process for bringing couples in the door.
If you love relational work and you're looking for a small, community-oriented practice that takes couples therapy seriously, we'd love to talk with you.
Clinicians are paid $55/hour for client sessions. Each clinical hour also earns an additional third of an hour of paid administrative time at the same rate, so your caseload comes with built-in, paid time for notes, coordination, and the behind-the-scenes work good care requires. Based on a 48-week clinical year, here's what that looks like:
$35,200–$42,240/yr
10–12 client hours/week
Being a clinician here isn't only about the client hour. We support clinicians who want to build something of their own within the practice, whether that's a class, a workshop, or an ongoing group, and bring it out into the Ferndale community. It's part of how we live out community care: creating spaces where people can find us, and each other, before they ever need therapy.
If you have an idea for a couples workshop, a relationship group, or another offering you'd want to run, we want to hear it, and we'll help you bring it to life.
Focused offerings built around your specialty, like couples communication or preparing for commitment.
Recurring groups that build community and connection around the people you care about most.
Yoga, meditation, and movement-based classes open to the community.
