Caitlin Estep, Counseling Intern (she/her)

Mind-Body approaches to healing at an affordable rate.

Hi, I’m Caitlin, a counseling intern currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Oakland University. I provide individual therapy for adults and adolescents (16+) who are looking for meaningful change, greater self-understanding, and a more grounded connection to themselves.

Before beginning my clinical training, I worked as a Career Counselor and substitute teacher—roles that deepened my appreciation for each person’s unique story and the many ways we strive to create purpose and connection. What I loved most in that work, and continue to love in therapy, is holding space for people to reflect, grow, and find solutions that truly fit them.

I believe that empathy, understanding, and our relationships—both with ourselves and others—form the foundation of healing. I'm especially interested in how the mind-body connection supports personal growth, and I bring a gentle, holistic lens to my work with clients. As a yoga teacher in training, I’m learning to integrate mindfulness, movement, and breathwork into the therapeutic process for those who are open to it. I am also excited to offer Walk & Talk Therapy in Ferndale!

Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity questions, or relationship challenges, I’ll meet you with warmth, curiosity, and respect. My approach is collaborative—I don’t believe there’s one right path for everyone, but I do believe that healing happens through presence, trust, and connection.

If you’re looking for a therapist who values the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—I’d be honored to work with you.
